- Philip Castle Added July 03, 2022★ ★ ★ ★ ★Sad we only had one night stay in this beautiful outback bird sanctuary. Wonderful hosts supported by four backbacker staff. They have an almost unique gould finch (threatened) breeding program to also release into the wild. The individual bungalows were amazingly comfortable and restful. Dinner and breakfast were superb. The walk around the lagoon in the late afternoon just a magical time warp. The only spoilt feature was the ploughef up foreshores around the lagoon looking like bulldozer tracks from the feral pest pigs. Worth the unsealed side trip off the main road. Love to goback and spend longer next time.
